I want to join a Yahoo Group, but the moderator is asking for my name, address and phone. Should I provide it?

I've joined other Yahoo Groups that only ask for my email address, but this one particular Group is asking for my personal information. Is this within Yahoo guidelines for Yahoo Group participation.
