Paratroopers or Glider Troopers of WW2?

I'm writing a fictional story for cl as everyone has to write for due to the fact we're reading about a WW2 and we must make a story, from a soldier's point of view. I was going to do a young Corporal of the 82nd Airborne Division. I'm just curious what type of soldier should i do it on the paratroopers or the glider troops?
