What are your thoughts on all the world unions (European Union, African Union, etc.)?

I dont' like being a citizen of the european union, im irish. and yes its all about power and control of course it is! the governments have already explicitly stated that they would like a one world banking system, and of course the control of a whole continent attracts power hungry elites. the citizens have no say, even in the EU the president of the eu is not voted for by the european people, but he represents the collective members on the world stage. its too big and i believe in NATIONS working together, not joined as one. people dont think about history and what human nature has shown to be like in the recent past, and what it can lead to in the future. maybe not our lifetime, but it will happen. unfortunately people who talk about it are seen as 'crazy conspiracy theorists' and no1 really cares.
