If someone cheated on you, and you cant get over it, does that mean that your love was not strong enough?

If you just cant seem to get over the pain & betrayal of your lover cheating on you, does that mean your love wasnt strong enough to sustain such a strong hit? If you really love a person shouldnt you forgive a person's cheating and give the relationship another shot? A person told me that a strong love will be able to get through infidelity, and I dont want to feel like my love wasnt strong or real because it was but my pride and the pain of the betrayal isnt letting me see this? Is my freind right or is it that Im thinking with the little dignity that I have left? I did love my man, very deeply and thats why it hurts so much it also bothers me that just because I cant get over the cheating yet and give it another shot that I'm being told our love wasnt strong enough and making it seem like a trivial relationship. Besides the cheating he was good to me and was there for me for support when I needed it. What do u guys think?
